Pillar Candles
The history of the pillar candle may be traced back so far as
221-206 BC China was a major player in the candle manufacturing
business. Candles developed independently in different areas all
through history. Many different materials were used, from tallow and
then to bees wax to bayberry wax ,to paraffin and then to a blended
soy wax, used today. Pillar candles were also utilized as time
keepers by markings on the candlestick to mark off a predetermined
time it took to melt away to a mark.
With the creation of
electricity, household candles for maintaining illumination
dwindled, but today because of the miracle and allure of the dancing
flame and aromas that pillar candles offer, there will always be a
spot for them.
There are many different types of pillar
candles. There are
soy blended pillar candles , paraffin pillar candles, palm wax
pillar candles and beeswax pillar candles.
